Community involvement

KPMG foundation

KPMG foundation Annual ReportThe KPMG Foundation was established to further the firm's commitment to excellence in business, academic distinction, and diversity. This includes multifaceted involvement with the academic community, such as The PhD Projectsm and our Matching Gift Program, as well as national philanthropic efforts.

During fiscal year 2008 the KPMG Foundation gave $8.1 million back to our community through academic grants and scholarships and support of academic research and conferences, diversity programs, students-as-citizen programs, and volunteerism. By promoting diverse role models, helping working professionals earn doctoral degrees, funding professorships in our areas of interest, and championing volunteerism at the corporate level, we're laying the groundwork for quality leadership and thereby promoting sustainability of the best in our community.

See how these programs are making a difference in the Foundation's new 2008 annual report, titled "Giving Back."
