FORTUNE 100 Best Companies to Work For® The list is put together by the Great Place to Work Institute in San Francisco, California, which surveyed a random sample of partners and employees. Each company was also asked to fill out a questionnaire describing its human resources policies and workplace culture. Two-thirds of each company's score came from partner and employee responses, and the other third was based on the company's benefits and practices.

Working Mother 100 Best Companies Top 10 For the fourth time, KPMG has been honored as a Top Ten organization on Working Mother's 100 Best Companies list. This prestigious accomplishment also marks the 15th time the firm has ranked among the publication's 100 Best. This year, we were applauded for our firm culture, commitment to women's issues and advancement, and flexibility, among other key elements of the firm's Employer of Choice strategy.

Universum's Top 100 IDEAL Employers KPMG was named as one of Universum's Top 100 IDEAL Employers among MBAs. The ranking was compiled using survey responses from close to 7,000 current MBA students at more than 70 top institutions and is based on MBA students' perception of employers in the U.S.

For the second time in three years, KPMG has made Computerworld's annual list of the Top Green-IT organizations. This year, the firm came in at No. 2 on the list, topping our 2009 ranking of No. 7. KPMG is also the only Big Four firm on this year's list.

KPMG Reaches Top 3 on Innovation in Diversity Awards The only Big Four firm to be named in the Top Ten list, KPMG was cited for its efforts on behalf of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) community, specifically our Straight Allies campaign.

DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity KPMG made DiversityInc's Top 50 Companies for Diversity for the fourth consecutive year in 2011, ranking No. 29. The firm also made three of DiversityInc's specialty lists this year: We are now ranked No. 2 among the Top 10 Companies for People with Disabilities, No. 1 among the Top 10 Companies for LGBT Employees and No. 6 among the Top 10 Companies for Global Diversity. Considered one of the leading publications on diversity, DiversityInc established its Top 50 list to recognize companies that "demonstrate remarkable and consistent strength in the four critical areas of diversity management." In 2011, close to 550 companies vied for placement on this highly competitive list.

Working Mother's Best Companies for Women's Advancement KPMG was recently named by Working Mother magazine as one of 10 organizations on its 2011 Best Companies for Women's Advancement list. This new ranking, an offshoot of the magazine's annual 100 Best Companies for Working Mothers, was created to highlight what companies are doing to encourage the advancement of women at all levels.

NAFE Top 50 Companies The National Association for Female Executives (NAFE) announced that KPMG has been named to the 2011 NAFE Top 50 Companies, which recognizes organizations whose policies and practices encourage women's advancement and whose numbers at the highest levels of leadership demonstrate that commitment.

BusinessWeek's 2009 "Best Places to Intern" KPMG was ranked #2 on the list for 2009. This ranking of the best U.S. companies for undergraduate internships highlights employers who have put together an outstanding internship experience for students. Bloomberg BusinessWeek's third annual list of the Best Internships ranks the leading programs according to data such as pay and the percentage of interns who get full-time jobs.

Universum For the second year in a row, KPMG International took the No. 2 spot on Universum's 2011 ranking of "The World's Most Attractive Employers" beating all other Big 4 firms. Universum, a global employer branding company, compiled the index based on the opinions of nearly 83,000 business students from top academic institutions in the world's 12 leading economies - the United States, China, Japan, Germany, France, UK, Italy, Brazil, Spain, Canada, Russia and India. The global top 50 companies were ranked based on the frequency of being selected as an "ideal employer" by the students.

DiversityInc Magazine has named KPMG its Top Company for Employee-Resource Groups. This special award is one of only seven individual awards presented by DiversityInc "to companies that have consistently proven themselves as diversity leaders and demonstrated remarkable leadership in critical areas."

Best Companies for Multicultural Women (2011, 2010, 2009) For the third consecutive year, KPMG has been ranked as one of Working Mother magazine's Best Companies for Multicultural Women. Companies recognized with this honor were assessed in four key areas: company culture, workforce profile, recruitment, and retention and advancement programs. KPMG received exceptionally high marks in company culture, which is reflective of our ongoing efforts to be an Employer of Choice and our commitment to creating a diverse workforce that encourages the professional advancement of women.

Diversity Edge magazine's 2009 Best Companies for Diverse Graduates KPMG has been recognized by Diversity Edge magazine as one of the Top Two organizations in its list of 2009 Best Companies for Diverse Graduates. KPMG, the only Big Four to make the list, came in second behind Microsoft. According to Diversity Edge, the list recognizes organizations that have shown leadership in recruiting, retaining, and advancing the careers of diverse professionals.

Disability Matters Award This honor was presented by Springboard Consulting LLC and Work Life Matters magazine, two organizations noted for their work on behalf of individuals with special needs. They recognized KPMG for the successful launch of our National Disabilities Network.

Hispanic Business Diversity Elite 60 KPMG has been named as one of Hispanic Business magazine's Diversity Elite 60 companies, a national ranking that recognizes companies that have successfully embedded diversity into their corporate cultures. The magazine considered 30 variables to determine the ranking, including hiring, promotion, marketing, and diversity goals.

Human Rights Campaign's Corporate Equality Index For the eighth year in a row, KPMG received a perfect score 100 percent in the Human Rights Campaign's Corporate Equality Index and Best Places to Work Survey. The designation recognizes our firm's commitment to supporting equality for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender professionals.

GLSEN Respect Award KPMG has been honored by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) with a 2009 New York Respect Award for the firm's commitment to diversity and inclusion. GLSEN's Respect Awards recognize individual and corporate leaders who have helped propel the organization's efforts to ensure safe schools for all of America's students, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression.

KPMG Wins Top Corporate Citizenship Honor KPMG has won the 2008 U.S. Chamber of Commerce Corporate Stewardship Award, one of the nation’s most prestigious corporate citizenship honors. KPMG Named Connect America "2008 Partner of the Year" Through its collaboration with First Book, KPMG's Family for Literacy initiative organizes volunteers to fund the purchase of books, conduct reading programs in schools, and work with existing literacy programs to distribute books supplied by First Book.
