KICC - How it Works
Want to know more? Here’s how it works:
Our competition begins on campus at 20 select universities. You’ll compete to represent your school at one of four regional semi-final events, held in Chicago, San Francisco, Philadelphia or Miami. The winners of the semi-finals will move on to compete for the national title in New York City on February 23 – 24, 2012. The U.S. Champions will head to Hong Kong to take on over 20 countries at the International Competition from April 18 – 20, 2012!
What’s better than traveling across the country and around the world? Doing it for free! KPMG will pick up the tab as you advance through the competition.
Here‘s how to build your team… It’s pretty straightforward…
- Teams must have 4 members (no more and no less).
- All participants must be intended or declared business majors, with at least 1 intended or declared accounting major (We strongly recommend at least 2).
- Some advanced degree candidates may not be eligible (e.g. traditional MBA students). Email your KPMG Contact or inquire at the campus information session.
- Teams may have no more than one member who has previously participated at the national level. Past national winners may not compete again.
- Please note that all team members must have a valid passport to be able to compete at the international finals.
This is what you’re in for…
- Attend your campus info session and register your team
- Spend up to 48 hours reviewing the case
- Present your recommendations in 20 minutes to a panel of judges
- Win and advance to the semi-finals in Chicago, San Francisco, Philadelphia or Miami
- Dominate the U.S. finals in NYC
- Last stop… Hong Kong!
The fine print: In the event that a team member is unable to advance in the competition, a new team member may be selected, subject to KPMG approval. The original team member will forfeit their participation in any future rounds and rights to any benefits and awards.
